Once again Olakh team along with local enthusiastic youth groups  came together to celebrate  second  संवाद स्व से समस्त on 8th March, 2017, International Women’s Day. We were very fortunate to witness revolutionaries and visionaries sharing their passionate journeys with us.   

Abha and Vibhuti

This Samvad introduced us to the life stories of Abha and Vibhuti, how they fought the patriarchal mindsets and opened the doors of freedom for them, by standing with their thoughts and strong will, to fight for them to live independently and fulfil their dreams of open spaces for women and bridge the gap of men and women inequality.

Laxmi Agrawal:

This girl, who fought acid attack, is today helping other girls and women all over India and in the world to combat the sufferings. Down the line after 12 years from that incident she is the Director of Chhanav Foundation which continues to rehabilitate council and fight for the rights of the acid attack victims.

Anand Kumar

Anand Kumar is best known for his super 30 program, which coached economically backward students for IIT-JEE, the entrance examination for the Indian Institutes of Technology. In 1992, Anand Kumar began teaching mathematics in a rented room  and began his own institute, the Ramanujan School of Mathematics(RSM). Within the span of year, his class grew from two students to thirty-six, and after three years there were almost 500 students enrolled. And was motivated to start the Super 30 programme in 2002, for which he is now well-known.

Mona Gulati

She is a social entrepreneur and founder of Sumeet foundation, CEO of United groups of Institutions and is actively working for upliftment of underprivileged children for their better future through free English coaching.

She made a commitment of staying closely associated with young girls living in slums and work for their growth and better future. Till now more than 70 young girls have learnt English in their program now young boys are joining our work too.”
